Life has been a bit crazy the last few months. Stress…… work and life pressures have been weighing heavily on me. The opportunity of a summertime bikepack came up and I was lucky enough to make it happen. Which meant all I needed to do was pedal a bike for a couple of days…….WOW all I need to do is pedal a bike. This trip started off different than any of the past trips in a way of just letting things fall into place.Because of that we ventured onto new roads and found little gems along the way…..am I maturing some? I don’t know but I do know that it was a good trip and my views on daily life just became that much brighter.

Alot has been going on in my part of the country. First off the riding has just been incredible this is the time of the year here in Idyllwild. Big news in town is the opening of THE HUB CYCLERY , Brendan and Mary are the proprietors. Stop by and support.

I was lucky enough to get out in the desert during one of our spring snowstorms. Did a route I only do every couple of years….hints are Horse Potrero a DC……..if ya can tell by the pics and the cryptic hint we should get a pedal on.

Have you seen the trail below, if so it’s a beaut….gamechanger……been brewing a figure 8 route here in town that could go 50 miles mostly singletrack.

Lastly we have our local race coming up next weekend Idyllwild Spring Challenge. Pedal One long will be selling some shirts, my boys first race and the starting of a photography division. Come on out and enjoy.
